How do I request a review of my child support order?: A review is the process of checking a child support order to see if it needs to be modified. You may contact the Child Support Agency at (715) 395-1327 to request a review of your child support if 33 months have passed since your last order was entered or if there has been a substantial change in circumstances since the last order was entered. Some examples of a substantial change are a court-ordered change in placement of the children, an upward or downward change in income which would modify the order by at least 15% and $50 per month, the incapacitation of a parent, or the receipt of certain public assistance benefits by the custodial parent.

1. I have questions about custody or visitation. Who can help me?: The Child Support Agency cannot assist with custody and/or visitation (placement) issues. You may contact a private attorney or file a pro se (do-it-yourself) motion with the Family (Judicial) Court Commissioner's Office.

2. If I lose my job, do I still have to pay child support?: You must report changes in your employment and/or income to the Child Support agency within 10 days of any change. Your court-ordered child support obligation remains the same until a court order or stipulation (agreement) modifies it. Child support will be withheld from Unemployment Compensation benefits. Reporting a change in your employment will not automatically initiate a review of your child support obligation, but you may request a review of your child support order by contacting the Child Support Agency at (715) 395-1327.
