Veterans Service Office
Mission Statement
We will provide the finest support to county veterans and their families. We will ensure veterans and their families are receiving the State and Federal benefits that they are entitled to; we will raise the profile of veteran's issues within the community and educate the public on the contributions of veterans and veterans benefits to the community; and we will responsibly manage our limited resources and leverage what we have for the benefit of our mission.
Services Available
From its convenient location at 1316 N. 14th St, Room 385, the Veterans Service Office assists eligible veterans and their dependents in applying for state and federal veterans benefits. Covering a broad spectrum of services, from loans to death benefits, education and retraining grants, assistance in obtaining military records, and more - our staff is here to enable veterans to navigate the system of forms and directions, from application to qualification. Our goal is to serve all veterans and their families, with dignity and compassion, by providing prompt and courteous assistance in the preparation and submission of claims for benefits to which they may be entitled, and to serve as their principal advocate on veterans' related issues. Click on Benefits and Services on the left for more information.
