Cross-Country Ski Trail System

Cross-Country Ski Trail System

Douglas County grooms and maintains over 10 miles (17 km) of cross-country ski trails between the Towns of Solon Springs and Gordon just off Highway 53.  Trails are groomed during the winter season for classic track skiing.

Grooming operations typically commence in mid to late December and will continue throughout the winter season until late March so long as adequate snow depth is available.

To find out more information on trail conditions and to get the latest update on grooming activities, please monitor this website or call the Douglas County Trail Hotline 24 hours a day 7 days a week at (715) 378-4528.

Please note that although trails may be open, conditions can significantly change in very little time.  Even the most ideal trail conditions can be quickly degraded by usage and/or weather influences.
