It indicates that the business is “Dementia Friendly” and has received training to recognize signs and symptoms of dementia as well as ways to communicate with someone that may have a memory impairment. Receive support, advice and resources on caregiving needs by attending the monthly caregiver conversations support group. Connect with other caregivers with facilitators from the Aging and Disability Resource Center and Senior Connections. The group is open to all and if offered at no cost.
Dementia LIVE is a dementia simulation experience that immerses participants into life with dementia, resulting in a deeper understanding of what it’s like to live a with a cognitive impairment and sensory change.
