Douglas County Warrant Information
If you, or someone you know, have an active Douglas County warrant, you will need to contact the Clerk of Courts office at (715) 395-1203.
Type of Warrants:
Capias: These are usually on small claims or family cases and may be resolved by following what was ordered in court, such as completing a financial disclosure or paying the amount ordered by the court.
Arrest and Bench Warrants: These are body only warrants which means the defendant will need to appear in court. At the court appearance, either a signature bond or cash bail will be ordered.
Commitment Warrants: This is a warrant for non-payment of fines. The warrant may be quashed by paying the fines in full or making a payment plan with the Clerk of Courts office. If a prior payment plan had been made and not followed through, this may not be an option. To qualify for a payment plan on the unpaid fines, a down payment will need to be made as well as making set regular monthly payments. Failure to follow through with the payment plan will result in the warrant being re-issued. Payment plans can be arranged by calling (715) 395-1499.
