Tri-County Corridor
The Tri-County Corridor connects the cities of Ashland and Superior via approximately 62 miles of improved railroad grade in Ashland, Bayfield and Douglas Counties.  This trail parallels the north side of US Highway 2 as it passes through the forest, through not on state forest property.
