24-Hour Crisis Line

Douglas County Health and Human Services provides 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, State-certified emergency mental health services, through a contracted provider.

When to Call
If you or another person:
  • Is overwhelmed or out of control
  • Is in acute psychiatric crisis
  • Has severe depression, anxiety, or grief
  • Needs help to reduce immediate emotional stress
  • Is in emotional crisis
  • Has symptoms of acute psychiatric illness
  • Needs other emergency mental health services

Do NOT call the crisis line if there is imminent danger.  Call 9-1-1.

If you, a family member, or someone you are responding to is experiencing an emergency mental health crisis, call the crisis line at (715) 392-8216.  If there is threat of suicide or any other immediate danger to self or others, call 9-1-1.
