Department Divisions
Health Services
  • Community Health provides information on goals, strategies, and results in the Community Health Improvement Plan (CHIP) 2010 update.
  • Environmental Health provides a variety of programs aimed at identifying, controlling, and preventing environmental health hazards in the community.
  • Influenza Information Center provides up-to-date information on influenza and how to protect yourself.
  • Public Health Nursing protects people's health and safety by preventing and controlling disease and injuries and providing public education programs.
  • Public Health Preparedness provides public health emergency information on major emergencies and/or disasters that affect the health and safety of humans.  Examples would be communicable disease outbreaks and manmade bioterrorism and environmental health exposures.  After hours "emergent issue" number is (715) 394-4432.

Human Services
  • Adult Protective Services (APS) conducts elder and adult at risk abuse and/or neglect investigations.
  • Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC) provides information to the general public about services, resources, and programs for adults with disabilities, children with disabilities transitioning to adulthood, and the elderly in need of assistance.
  • Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse (AODA) Services provides chemical dependency services to address and treat problems related to alcohol and other drug abuse.
  • Economic Support administers the Medical Assistance, FoodShare, and Energy Assistance programs.
  • Intake and Assessment consists of Child Protection Investigative Services, and Access Intake services involving children.
  • Mental Health Services coordinates the provision of services to provide treatment and support to individuals who have a mental illness.
  • Youth and Family Services supports children and families by identifying, preventing, and resolving conditions which may contribute to delinquency, maltreatment, truancy, and uncontrollability.
