Child First Program










INTAKE AND ASSESSMENT consists of Child Protection Services as well as Access Intake Services.  It is the point of entry for most services within the Department of Health and Human Services.  Child Protective Services promotes the safety and well-being of children and families.

PROGRAMS AND SERVICES PROVIDED
 
Assessment of safety when a child has been maltreated or is at risk of maltreatment
  Referrals to safety services and change oriented services
  Community education
  Foster home licensing, recruitment, and training
  Day care certification
  Independent living skills assessments and programming
  Mandated reporter training

If you suspect that a child has been abused or neglected or if you suspect that a child is at risk of being abused or neglected, you can make a report to a Douglas County Department of Human Services Intake Worker (715)395-1304.  If there is an emergency situation occurring or if you need to make a report outside normal business hours, phone 911.
