MISSION STATEMENT

To provide quality service to the general public while collecting taxes, monitoring and taking action on tax delinquent property and answering questions regarding real estate matters; management and disbursement of county funds; inform county board of financial considerations.

DUTIES OF THE COUNTY TREASURER

The County Treasurer collects real estate property taxes.  The County Treasurer receives all moneys from all sources belonging to the county, and all other monies which by statute or county ordinance are directed to be paid to the treasurer and receives payment of delinquent property taxes or the redemption of land subject to a tax certificate.
